Where:
Auckland Domain Band Rotunda
When:
Saturday, 1st July from 9am to 11:30am
What:
Gorby cafe and cache hiding celebration
Why:
To celebrate cache makers / hiders, because this is what keeps Geocaching alive!
What will be acheived:
"Build-A-Cache Workshop” We will discuss how caches that are brought along are made, and the makers will discuss how they have built them and give ideas to those of us who also would like a go at making a cache a little bit out of the ordinary. I will bring along some caches that I have made to show you how I made them. There I will teach you on how to make a simple cache, I will have tools, wood, hinges, glues and various other things on hand, to demonstrate and show you the importance of having a plan and some drawings and the right tools. What makes a good container that will appeal to fellow cachers? This will be answered at the event.
Bring:
A cool cache hide you've made or you're working on, brunch, a glass of wine, stories of great cache hides, advice on building/hiding, questions you'd like to ask cache hiders...
