The Plague by Albert Camus is a classic story about a town overcome by the bubonic plague which is spread by rats. The whole city is put into quarantine as they deal with the deadly epidemic and eliminate the rats. Written in 1942 it has surprisingly familiar overtones with recent Covid events. Each character has a different opinion about the restrictions that are imposed and whether they are appropriate. Sounds familiar? Well worth a read.
