2023年 栃木県民の日
栃木県民の日に制定されている6月15日は1873年に旧栃木県と宇都宮県が合併し栃木県が誕生した日です。この日を記念して、2023年の県民の日に栃木にゆかりのあるジオキャッシャーが募りキャッシュを公開しました。

The 15th June is Tochigi Citizens’ Day. Tochigi Prefecture was established on June 15, 1873 with the merger of Tochigi Prefecture and Utsunomiya Prefecture. Celebrating this day, Geocachers loved Tochigi have published caches.

As Yoshitsune and his party followed the road along the river, they saw a rugged stone mountain on the right. When you climb up, you will find a rough stone shrine with large stones scattered around. Some of the stones had rolled into the fields below. The stone on which Yoshitsune sat is called "Yoshitsune no Koshikakeishi", but we do not know which stone it is. This place is now called "Onbeshi". The name Onbeshi is said to have come from the fact that Yoshitsune offered gohei to this rock to pray for luck in battle when he climbed the mountain in response to his brother's raising an army.

義経一行が川に沿った道を行くと、すぐ右手にゴツゴツとした石山が見えました。上に登ってみると粗末な石の祠があり、まわりに大きな石がゴロゴロしています。その石のいくつかは、下の畑に転がり落ちていました。ここで義経が腰掛けた石を「義経の腰掛石」と言っていますが、その石はどれかはわかりません。ここを今「おんべし」と呼んでいます。なお、おんべし（御弊石）とは義経が兄の挙兵に呼応して上る時、武運を祈ってこの岩に御幣を奉ったことによるそうです。
