We've been finding caches in the lake macquarie area for a while now and noticed there weren't any in the beautiful Murrays Beach so we have added a few.
Murays Beach is a relatively new suburb, having geen gazetted in 2006 but named after the two coalmining brothers who were granted 320 acres of land along the foreshore of Lake Macquarie back in 1836, coal was transported from the mines via a Jetty located at "Murrays Beach". There are 5 caches in this short series along the lakeside.
Whether you started here at cache #5 or at the other end of Murrays Beach at cache #1 this is still a great spot to stop and take in the views across the lake to Point Wolstoncroft, you will be looking for a green egg.
