This cache is located on the east side of the trail. In 1988, Denning’s Point was purchased by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. It became a part of Hudson Highlands State Park. In 2003, The Clarkson Univeristy Beacon Institute for Rivers and Estuaries opened on the point, helping to conduct research in order to better understand and protect rivers and estuaries.
