Hello there and welcome to The Philip Larkin Story, this is a one stage geocache hopefully giving you a small insight into who Philip was.
Philip Larkin Facts
Poet and librarian, Philip Arthur Larkin, spent half his life in Hull. The legacy of his connection with the city can be seen in his poems, which were often inspired by his experience of living in, and travelling to and from, Hull. It can also be seen in the state of the art Brynmor Jones Library, which he helped create whilst serving as librarian at the University of Hull.

A - At the base of the statue you can see Philip Larkin's birthdate followed by his date of death, his date of birth is 19??, multiply your answer by 2 for the letter 'a'.
B - His death date 19?5, the question mark is letter 'b'.
C - His date of death subtracted by his date of birth, then take away 10 from your answer, this is letter 'c'
D - Behind the statue is a plaque with some information about the statue, it states how long Philip was a citizen of Hull, the year of his death subracted by his first year of citizenship, then minus 9 from that answer, which will give you letter 'd'.
E - As well on the plaque the date the statue was unvailed is marked Thursday ?nd October 2010, the question mark is letter 'e'.
F - To the left of the statue you will see two arches which lead to the outside, on the left arch you will see a plaque that states 'Knots Of The Rail' (or something like that) there is towards the bottom a fraction 0?/25, the question mark is letter 'f'.
