Geocache Description:


Welcome to the 2023 Taconic Region NYS Park Summer Geocaching Challenge.  Please see MN 1 for details about the challenge.

Morgan Lewis was the third governor of NY from 1804-1807.  He was born in New York City, attended Princeton and studied law alongside John Jay.  He served in the Revolution, raising to the rank of major, and later served as the quartermaster-general of the Northern Army.  After the Revolution, he lived in Albany, and served in the NYS Assembly and Senate.  He was also the NY State Attorney General and later Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of NY.  After losing his re-election bid, he returned to his home in Staatsburg  -- Here!   He was married to Gertrude Livingston and had one child, Margaret Lewis Livingston. 

About this cache:  You are looking for fake birdhouse along the Blue Trail.  You must solve the field puzzle to get to the log and stamp. Everything you need is provided.
