Geocache Description:


BPoD or Blue Plaques of Dulwich is a series of caches highlighting the figures that have been honoured with a Blue Plaque. These are a range of English Heritage, London Borough of Southwark and Open Plaques.

Annie Besant - 1st October 1847 - 20th September 1933 - was a British socialist, theosophist, freemason, women's rights and Home Rule activist, educationaist and campaigner for Indian nationalism.

Besant resided here in 1874, which is the year her mother, Emily died.
The plaque is currently obscured by foliage.
