Welcome to Fahnestock State Park! These 15 geocaches (10 challenge, 5 bonus) will take you on a virtual tour of some of the state parks and historic sites in the Taconic Region. We recommend completing the series in order, with numbers 1-10 of the challenge geocaches. The bonuses will be interspersed throughout. Come explore John Jay Homestead State Historic Site, an original American Experience. It contains 62 acres -walk to the ice pond stocked with fish and down the beech aisle. Stroll through the beautiful Sun Dial Garden, Herb Garden, and Terrace Garden. In the winter, come and cross-country ski or snow shoe. During the spring and summer, bring a picnic and spend the day.
