Clearing Cleavers Creates Cut-through
Parking: There are lots of options for parking, firstly at the headline coordinates for a couple of cars and then also see the relevant waypoints. Rea Lane is very narrow and so if you would prefer not to worry about parking then Sims Lane may be easier, if a bit of a longer walk to get to the meeting point. If you do attempt Rea Lane and find both suggested parking areas are full then you will need to park further up the lane and walk down.
Where: Find us at the headline coordinates for 1100, or follow the new trail of destruction, where you should find us, probably in the undergrowth!
What: We will be clearing a path from the layby (headline coordinates) through the woods to the main path (see reference point). If there is time left over we can clear some vegetation from around the shed (see the shed waypoint), and the path at the edge of the reedbed - if we do get on to these extra tasks I will put out an announcement.
How: The warden will be there providing guidance. We ask you to bring your own gloves and if you have them tools, so if you have shears, loppers or a saw please do bring them along. Don't worry if you don't have them as the warden will have a supply too, but we will need you to log that you require tools.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by Gloucester County Council insurance as long as you are working under the warden's instruction.
