California has a large number of rivers which drain the various mountain ranges of the state. Often the river is named after the area its main drainage traverses. Unsurprisingly, the rivers often share their name with a California county they originate in or pass through. After extensive research, there seem to be 18 rivers that have the same name as a California county. To qualify for this challenge, you need to find a cache in each of the counties that share a name with these rivers. In particular, the counties (and rivers) are:
- Calaveras
- Fresno
- Kern
- Kings
- Los Angeles
- Merced
- Napa
- Sacramento
- San Benito
- San Diego
- San Joaquin
- Santa Clara
- Shasta
- Stanislaus
- Trinity
- Tuolumne
