A meet and greet at the pole. The dory tender pole that is! It is located directly in front of our cottage seawall at 17 Blue Jay Terrace, Wareham. Those of you who ventured out to do the Crabby Pattie cache (archived), you have been to this exact location before (but probably at low tide). This is a high tide event. The log will be tethered to the top of the pole. No need to worry about bringing a pencil. A writing tool will be provided.
There are several ways to go about meeting us at this event. You could swim to it, It isn’t very far, maybe 50’ from shore. You could float to it, We will even have some pool noodles and swim floats for your floating pleasure. You could kayak over from the Tempest Knob Boat Ramp. You could ask Jmuggles to get you there using his skiff. So many choices, but any way you look at it, you will likely get wet.
This will be a rain or shine event. If there is lightening, we will host the event in the cottage.
Bring a beach towel, to dry yourself off. Bring a change of clothes, if you want. You are welcome to change in the cottage. We will relax on the patio after the log is signed by attendees. Feel free to stay as long as you’d like. Bring some take out if you want, and just hang out with us.
If you are driving to this event: Please park on Pinehurst Drive, which is a one way street. Take it slow in this area when driving, as it is thickly settled. The cottage is located at 17 Blue Jay Terrace in Wareham. It is behind 128 Pinehurst and is difficult to see from the street. Note that the house numbers on Pinehurst do not run consecutively. Walk down the public access way, Blue Jay Terrace, towards the water.
