Prunus persica is named from Persian roots yet
This type of Peach Tree, is native to China. It is grown for its luscious fruit but some love their showy, fragrant flowers.  Trees can grow up to 25' tall and wide in the wild. Most peach trees sold in commerce today are grafted to rootstocks which control the size of the tree. Dwarf trees bear standard size fruit, but have the advantage of fitting into smaller sites and being more manageable.â¨Â
AKA âReliance' plant because it produces soft pink blossoms in early spring that is followed by medium to large freestone peaches with bright yellow flesh and yellow skin blushed with red. Fruit ripens in early to mid August.
As Castor Troy said it best..."I can eat peach for hours."
