Solitary Bees
Back in 2021 Cyprus experience it's worse outbreak of fires covering an area of 60 sq. kilometres in the Larnaca region. Thousands of trees and flower were lost. Also lost were over 1483 registered hives plus countless unregistered ones. Each hive contain 30/50000 honey bees. These honey bees rely on pollination for the pollen to make their honey. Solitary bees, also called pollinators, pollinate 85% of the flowers so that the honey bee can produce honey. Honey bees do approximately 10/15 % of the pollination. So for the area to recover we need these Solitary Bees.
