Short but challenging hike, under one mile R/T if you park in the right spot.
This is a great spot for the view, pics and a picnic. Parking is NOT your normal Boardman Park pullout, travelling N from Brookings on 101 you will go by Whales Head Beach where a guardrail on the ocean side begins, immediately after the guardrail ends, turn left into the parking area (it's very easy to miss).
Head N on the coastal trail for about 200 yds., go left off the trail and start your descent. At the first "bottom" bear left, at the second "bottom" turn left (despite what your GPSr might be telling you). After that you are on your own.
PS this is a revived cach that trailsailer placed back in 2007 i once came out here to look for it on 3 seprate occasions and i really liked the location and new i needed to revive it enjoy..
