Pluto was a mythical Roman god who lived in the underworld and was the giver of life's riches like crops and minerals. The statue is a Victorian-Era Representation of him and may look like what we think of as "the devil" but it is not. The image of Pluto was used on everything from menus, postcards, and soaps for guest rooms to cufflinks, clocks, and toy trains. The museum currently has the original, full-sized Pluto figures. One of the statues is in an exhibit in the French Lick West Museum, the other sits in the window of the Museum. Find the log book sign your name date you found it and Get a picture with Pluto. You don't have to go through the museum but it is highly recommended and Geocachers receive $2 off admission that day. Pose with Pluto for a Pluto selfie.
