Trail Orta - Lungolago Via Giovanetti
Finalmente si arriva alla Piazza Mario Motta, il cuore centrale del borgo, qui si trova lo splendido salotto sul lago contornato da edifici storici, il più importante è il Palazzo della Comunità o Broletto, una palazzo di fine '500 costruito su di un porticato dove era usuale svolgere il mercato. Al primo piano si trova la vecchia sala riunione che attualmente ospita mostre ed eventi; sempre in piazza è possibile accedere alla mia Virtual Cache GC9P8VT. Sulla sinistra la Via Caire Albertoletti sale verso la Parrocchia di Santa Maria Assunta (cache GC17Z64), edificata nel 1485 e ricostruita nella seconda metà del XVIII secolo, L'originario impianto tardoromanico fu arricchito con dipinti del XVII e XVIII secolo, ad opera del Rossetti, del Cantalupi e dell'Orgiazzi, Nella cappella Gemelli si può ammirare una tela del Procaccini, raffigurante San Carlo alla processione della peste di Milano; si tratta di uno degli esempi più significativi del primo Seicento lombardo. La facciata è di Carlo Nigra ed è preceduta da un protiro su colonnine binate del XVII secolo. Proseguendo si passo sotto un arco e si imbocca Via Giovannetti con la sua piccola Chiesa della SS Trnità e il particolare scorcio sul lago e sull'isola di Orta San Giulio con il cavallo a dondolo in legno; da qui è possibile imboccare qualche piccolo sentiero che porta nella parte alta del paese.

Trail Orta - Lakeside Via Giovanetti
