Every once in a while we all come across that cache that makes us smile and think "I'm glad that I found this cache".
This year GC HQ are allowing a souvineer as part of Maker Magic and anyone who logs an “Attended” at a registered Maker Magic event will earn a special souvenir!
There are a couple of local cachers who have supplied some very magical caches over the years so come along and to this event and share your stories and knowledge on making and hiding that "special cache"
One of those local cachers will be guest speaker Wazza from Wazza&Kara. They have 2 nearby caches that have over 100 favourite points between them. The closest to the event is Creation Windows GC2QKGM with 57 favourite points.
The other nearby cache is Urban Generation GC4HQ09 with 48 favourite points.
Wazza will be available from 1730 hrs at the event to give a verbal workshop and to teach what is required and to help people create a good cache.
The educational guidelines he will be teaching will start from the beginning of how to choose an appropriate site for your cache, what type of cache suits best in various locations and how to camouflage a container, what makes a good container that will last for years with minimal maintenance and how to get permission for a location if required. From the location and type of container we will be moving on how to submit a cache for publication, by doing all of this at the event I hope to see more interesting, magical well themed caches appearing in great well thought out locations.
