Squirtle the Turle doesn't care much for the water. At least, not like "a good turtle" should and certainly not like his shellback buddies, Yertle and Myrtle, who can't stop photographing themselves near water. No, Squirtle doesn't have the best of sea legs and instead prefers kicking back on the shore. That's how on one Spring day as the trio of tortoises traipsed down Ralston Creek, Squirtle spotted a little clearing and decided to head up the bank to find a place for a break. There he would relax a bit and enjoy the view of the trail and prairie and maybe even spot the occasional deer watering nearby.
It isn't very far off the Court Hill Trail where you can still see Squirtle waiting by a tree for his buddies to come back.
[Please be careful for poison ivy/oak and ticks, and be respectful of neighbors and nature. Parking is nearby at Scott Park and dog park. There will be Muggles.]
