2023年 栃木県民の日
栃木県民の日に制定されている6月15日は1873年に旧栃木県と宇都宮県が合併し栃木県が誕生した日です。この日を記念して、2023年の県民の日に栃木にゆかりのあるジオキャッシャーが募りキャッシュを公開しました。

The 15th June is Tochigi Citizens’ Day. Tochigi Prefecture was established on June 15, 1873 with the merger of Tochigi Prefecture and Utsunomiya Prefecture. Celebrating this day, Geocachers loved Tochigi have published caches.

Yoshitsune's beloved horse Tayuguro was injured and did not recover easily. For the party who want to go to Kamakura as soon as possible, they are just impatient. At that time, a villager suggested, ``Bato Kannon is enshrined under the hill behind Iono no Sato. Yoshitsune immediately ordered Hitachibo Kaison to pray for the healing of Tayukuro's injuries. Following Yoshitsune's order, Kaizo set up a platform in front of the Bato Kannon in Iono and prayed for seven days and seven nights. Afterwards, Tayuguro regained his former health, and not only Yoshitsune and his party, but also the villagers who prayed for him and the villagers who protected Bato Kannon were delighted. It is said that Yoshitsune thanked everyone from the bottom of his heart and decided to give them money to build the temple of Bato Kannon.

義経の愛馬太夫黒はケガをしてしまい、なかなか回復しませんでした。一日も早く鎌倉へ行きたい一行にとっては、気が焦るばかりです。そんな時里人が「伊王野の里の裏山の下に馬頭観音さまが祀ってある。霊験あらたかだから、ここにお祈りしたらどうか」とすすめてくれました。義経はさっそく、常陸坊海存に命じて太夫黒のケガが治るようお祈りすることにしました。海存は義経の命を受け、伊王野の馬頭観音の前に壇を設け七日七夜の祈願をしました。その後太夫黒はもとのように元気になり、義経一行は言うまでもなく、お祈りをすすめた里人や馬頭観音を守る里人たちも喜びました。義経はみんなに心からのお礼を言い、お金を与えてこの馬頭観音のお堂を建てさせることにしたと言われています。
