The purpose of this event will be twofold.
Who can resist the opportunity to talk caches while basking in the sunshine in a beautful place. On the first of the year I held an event in Moonee Beach; those who attended got a regular sized cache to place so we can continue the momentum of this fun game of ours. This time I've decided to host another event to help get everyone placing them. Of course you dont have to have attended the previous one, all are welcome.
Lets talk placement, how to Camo, how to submit for publishing, how to work out the terrain or difficutly level accurately, how do I put a background image up, why would I want to? How do I create a gadget cache, or a puzzle cache or how to I start working out a Multi? Most of all how do you make the caches something others will want to find and maybe even give a favourite point!
HOW, HOW, HOW?
Well, at most events there are other cachers who own caches so certainly asking them helps A LOT. I'll bring along a few interesting containers I've got in the pipeline for future caches & I would encourage other CO's to do the same.
I love the variety of ideas that keeps my brain buzzing for weeks after a discussion like this. Bring a tablet or laptop to work on while we are together so you can get hands on problem solving in issues or roadblocks you experience with part or the whole process. No electricity or local WIFI that Im aware of so you will need to be battery/ internet self sufficient.
Come along with your ideas, questions and enthususiam and someone will help you along the path to cache published enlightenment.
In the background I'll also be participating in the Northern Annual Whale Census day so if your partner isn't into caching as much as you, they can check out the whale action swimming past in the name of science.
