Geocache Description:

The cache is located a very short distance off the trail. To get to that location you follow the trail then, if it's summertime, you may have to wade through a little bit of waist high grass (and a few poison ivy plants which seem to be everywhere) to get to a small clearing under two very old trees. The coordinates may not exactly be spot on because it was hard to maneuver in there, but they should get you to the trees plus the added clue should pretty much narrow down where to find it.

Hazards:
Poison ivy
Cache container- peanut butter jar- allergy
The area is a marsh and there may be mosquitoes and other annoying bugs

I don't know if hunting is allowed in this area. It might be best to wear blaze orange during hunting season

Tall grass -ticks
Pointy sticks/tree branches- be careful you don't poke your eye out

You may want to do this during those times of year when the ticks, mosquitoes and poison ivy are negligable. Boots may be necessary during wet season. Stay on trail to avoid ending up in swamp.

This area is a wildlife preserve. Bring binoculars if you have them to look for birds and animals.

Permission to place this cache was granted by: Michael R. Wasilco Regional Wildlife Manager, Division of Fish and Wildlife, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation
