Rigel is a blue supergiant located in the Orion constellation. Orion can best be seen in Minnesota in the cooler months from fall through spring. It is one of the most recognizable constellations in the night sky.
Rigel is 860 light years from the sun. Being a supergiant, its about 70 times the size of our sun. Eventually, like it's sister star in the same constellation, it will go supernova. If you're looking at Orion, Rigel is the brightest star on the bottom right "leg". Note the terrain rating. This cache isn't supposed to be placed low, nor should it be THAT easy to get.
