Have you been thinking of creating and hiding your own geocaches, but don't know where to start?
Do want to learn how to create and hide fun and successful geocaches for others to enjoy?
Would you like to hide a geocache in a park, but are nervous about how to go about getting permission?
Do you need ideas for good, quality geocache containers?
If you are interested in learning more about geocaching in general, or if there is something about geocaching that you would like to know, then please join us for this event! We are by no means experts, but we would love to share what we know and have experienced in our 7 years of geocaching.
Geocaching veterans are welcome to join us too! Your sage advice and ideas will be appreciated.
We will have examples of various types of containers, examples of log types, some suggested swag for different sized geocaches, and even park permission forms for a few local park entities. We will also run through the basics of how to set up a geocache page on the geocaching website.
You may even be able to create your own geocache container and get it set up for hiding.
This will be an outdoor event, but it can be moved indoors in the case of rain.
