After two kids, a pandemic, and a four-year hiatus, we're excited to announce The Caching Conundrum is ready to resume!
We're going to take everything we learned during years of competitions, events, and the time off to retool this series. If you're a veteran of the events, it will seem similar, but look for some new wrinkles, ideas, and puzzle experiences.
Sponsored and hosted by Central Ohio Geocaching, The Caching Conundrum is a (monthly?) event in Columbus where geocachers meet for camaraderie, food, and puzzling madness. Competitors will battle throughout the year to decide on an ultimate puzzler, which will culminate with a year-end championship.
Participation in the puzzling portion of this event is not required. We would love for you to join us even if you hate puzzles! Come to talk with other local cachers to share ideas, experiences, and upcoming adventures. We're a very inclusive group. Everyone is welcome, even if you never want to touch a puzzle.
In the past, we've leaned heavily on pure logic puzzles with some oddball formats tossed in. While you can certainly expect some old-school brain testers, we're looking to create some intriguing new conundrums.
The event opens at 6:00 PM (18:00). Feel free to arrive then, grab dinner, and chat with other cachers. We'll commence puzzling no later than 7:00 PM. The event "officially" ends at 9:00 PM. Purchase of food is NOT REQUIRED. Feel free to come to the reserved community room without spending any money if you like.
We'll discuss MOGA 2024 throughout the event. If you've never been to a Midwest Open Geocaching Adventure, come with questions! One aspect of the event is a puzzling competition, so coming to this event will be fantastic practice.
*PLEASE BRING A COMPUTER OR SMART DEVICE TO THIS EVENT*
