Geocache Description:

04 August 2023, 20:00 - 20:30

Many cities worldwide have one place or one object that is iconic in representing that location. Perhaps none is so iconic as The Little Mermaid as it represents Copenhagen.

Please come out and join me and friends for a fun meet-and-greet at the Little Mermaid statue for a fun meet-and-greet. I expect that we will have visitors from multiple countries, and from America, visitors from a lot of different states.

To make this extra fun, I am planning a meet-and-greet activity at the event with a fun group photo and door prizes to award to randomly selected attendees.

Come and join us! We hope to see you - and so does the mermaid!

The Little Mermaid (DanishDen lille Havfrue) is a bronze statue by Edvard Eriksen, depicting a mermaid becoming human. The sculpture is displayed on a rock by the waterside at the Langeliniepromenade in Copenhagen, Denmark.[a] It is 1.25 metres (4.1 ft) tall[2] and weighs 175 kilograms (385 lb).[3]

Based on the 1837 fairy tale of the same name by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen, the small and unimposing statue is a Copenhagen icon and has been a major tourist attraction since its unveiling in 1913.
