I've been wanting to do a hide of my own for quite some time now and after some encouragement from fellow cachers I recently met (it's great to be able to put a face to some of the names) I'm taking the plunge. I decided to put my 1st hide just outside a great campground that I've been going to for 20 plus years. The campground is open from April through October. I have to say my favorite time is October when they have Halloween three weekends in a row. They have a haunted house, custume judging with prizes,trick or treating around the campground and a dance at night. It's such a popular time that sites are reserved a year in advance. You can have your name put on a waiting list and hope that someone will cancel. Use stealth when grabbing this cache, keeping a sharp eye out for muggles and golf carts especially on weekends when the campground is open.
