The road is in good shape, though some of the smaller roadways have been sculpted by motorcycles and other off-road vehicles which might present some difficulties. There are places of loose sand. 2WD vehicles should be OK, though high clearance would be welcome in some places. Be careful and use your best judgement.
Be aware of the usual suspects in the desert; things that bite, sting, scratch, poke, etc. Good advice seen often is to be careful about reaching into small spaces or into rocks or branches. Some desert denizens inhabit these places. Uneven ground can make secure footing a concern. Step carefully.
Always a good idea to bring some water along.
The cache is on Arizona State Land Trust property and geocachers must purchase a recreation permit available on the Arizona State Land Department's website in order to geocache there. http://asld.secure.force.com/recreationalpermit/
