The Kunshan Cultural and Art Center is located in the western part of the urban sub-center of Kunshan City. It is an important step in the construction and improvement of the "one body, two wings" urban layout in Kunshan City. The project is designed by the renowned architect Cui Kai, and the entire building takes Kunqu Opera and the Twin Lotus as the inspiration, with a layout along the curves of the water, creating a water town atmosphere. The Kunshan Cultural and Art Center was put into use in 2012.
The Kunshan Cultural and Art Center has a construction area of 70,551.8 square meters and is equipped with supporting facilities such as a 1,400-seat grand theater, a 270-seat multifunctional hall, a 350-seat IMX cinema, seven regular cinemas, two high-end VIP halls, 24 dressing rooms, conference rooms, rehearsal halls, media studios, cafes, and parking spaces. The stage of the grand theater is a framed stage with a plan in the shape of the Chinese character "pin," and it has a 170-square-meter imported soundproof cover. The floor of the multifunctional hall is composed of 21 movable modules that can be freely transformed and combined in various ways. All lighting systems and audio equipment use internationally renowned brands, meeting the requirements of symphony concerts, dance dramas, large-scale variety shows, traditional opera, acrobatics, and other performances, as well as major conferences and events. The grand theater of the Kunshan Cultural and Art Center officially passed the ISO9001 quality management system certification in December 2013.
Kunshan Poly Grand Theatre Management Co., Ltd. was established in 2012 and is subordinate to Beijing Poly Theatre Management Co., Ltd. It is responsible for the overall operation and management of the grand theater of the Kunshan Cultural and Art Center.
昆山市文化艺术中心坐落于昆山市西部城市副中心内，是昆山市城市建设完善“一体两翼”格局的重要步骤。项目由著名建筑大师崔恺担纲设计，整个建筑选取昆曲和并蒂莲作为母体，沿水体曲线布置具有水乡的“神韵”。昆山市文化艺术中心于2012年投入使用。 昆山文化艺术中心建筑面积70551.8平方米，拥有1400座大剧场、270座多功能厅、1个350座IMX电影厅、7个普通电影厅、2个高档贵宾厅、24间化妆间、会议室、排练厅、媒体工作室、咖啡厅及停车位等服务配套设施。大剧院内舞台为镜框式舞台，平面呈品字型，内设170平方米进口反声罩，多功能厅地面由21块可动模块组成，自由变换，组合丰富。所有灯光系统和音响设备均采用国际知名品牌，可满足交响音乐会、舞剧、大型综艺晚会、戏曲、杂技等各类演出要求和重大会议、活动承办接待要求。昆山文化艺术中心大剧院于2013年12月正式通过了ISO9001质量管理体系认证。 昆山市保利大剧院管理有限公司成立于2012年，隶属于北京保利剧院管理有限公司，全面负责昆山文化艺术中心大剧院的运营管理。
