Geocache Description:

Buck's Hide-away

Nice, remote little lake, with some trails. State park sticker is required. Camping, picnicking, pit-toilets, running water are available. If you like a nice walk, start at south end of the dam (N40'13.359, W096'35.182) and follow the trail across (2 miles round trip.) Otherwise, you can go cross-country from a small parking lot (N40'13.811, W096'34.923) Trails will take you within 150 feet of the cache. I placed the cache on a Sunday afternoon ... the only other "soul" at the lake was a really nice sized 4x4 buck, which I followed over three hills trying to get a good picture (digital camera, almost no zoom). He finally heard me crashing through a ravine and when I topped the hill, all I saw was his tail going over the next. I here-by name the cache in his honor. Hope you enjoy the hike.Container is a camouflaged ammo box, and should be very well hidden. Original contents:- extra zip-lock bags- 4-AA batteries (Garmin juice)- carabiner hooks- rubber jig fishing lures- jig-heads- other misc. stuff.- Log-book (please sign and leave)- disposable camera (please take your picture and leave camera)
