UPDATE 6/2/03: IT LOOKS LIKE THE CACHE IS GONE! WE'VE CHANGED IT TO A VIRTUAL CACHE, IT'S STILL A NICE PLACE TO VISIT (ESPECIALLY OUTSIDE OF SKEETER SEASON!) WE'LL TRY TO REPLACE THE CACHE NEXT TRIP TO THE OBX. New update 6/15/03: To prove you got the right spot, please email be and describe where the cache was, but don't post it. Post your experience - it's still a great site! Don't forget your bug repellent!

A fine place to walk, amid the birds and natural flora of the Outer Banks. Tupperware container includes batteries, some postcards, an OBX sticker, pad, pencil and a note regarding geocaching for anyone who may stumble upon it accidentally. In keeping with the OB's tradition of pirate lore, we wanted this to contain more pirate themed goodies, but alas these were very difficult to find (strangely enough!) If you are able to find better themed goodies, such a pirate flags, eyepatches, etc., you can help this cache to become a true pritate's treasure. We reccomend that you take the time to enjoy the surroundings when you come to this spot.
