Do not let your GPS fool you about this section of the river.
To complete the entire series will require a paddle of about 7 km. Just below the furthest cache is a set of rapids, and there is no take-out nearby as all the land is private.
We placed the caches in late June, as summer progresses, a TOTT to pull branches down may be required. (or a good friend to hold the branch down)
When we went to place this cache a small painted turtle, about the size of a toonie, was spotted close by and remained there for the longest time.
This section of the Napanee River is slow and meandering. Lots of wildlife can be spotted along its shores. Most of these caches are named after nearby vegetation.
The boat launch is immediately south and east of the bridge on Curl Road. Please respect the No Parking signs and move your vehicle after unloading your vessels as the fire trucks use this location to access water.
