This cache is hidden at Hamarinn in Hafnarfjordur and from there you have the best view there is over the town. Hamarinn was protected as a natural monument in 1984 and it covers an area of 2.1 ha. Hamarinn has glacial remains. It is a distinctive landmark in central Hafnarfjörður and is a popular outdoor activities area. There are stories of Elves and Hidden People connected to Hamarinn. Legends say that the cliff is an ancient kingdom of the elves where the Royal Family of the Hidden Folk lives. If you are lucky you will be able to spot one of them :)
The parking area near Hamarinn belongs to the school that is there: Flensborgarskólinn. Flensborg is one of the oldest secondary schools in Iceland, it was founded in 1877 as a children's school but changed in 1882 into a junior college.
