This cache - Colorado Rockies
The Rockies began as an expansion team and played their home games for their first two seasons at Mile High Stadium. Later they moved to a new ballpark, Coors Field, which has earned a reputation as a hitter's park. Sadly the team was created after I moved away from Denver, though I used to attend minor league games at Mile High as a member of the press. I didn't get paid but I had free admission and free food.
Only one player to date has entered the Hall of Fame in a Rockies uniform, and that is Larry Walker. In 1997, he became the only player in major league history to register both a .700 slugging percentage (SLG) and 30 stolen bases in the same season, on his way to winning the National League (NL) Most Valuable Player Award (MVP).
