St Nicholas chapel on the rock island
When you decide to explore the little 19th century chapel of Saint Nicholas, on the small rock island opposite Nea Koutali and while your eyes will be catching all deep blue, wheat gold and clear white shots on the way to this, you will have already consented to be part of an extension of Van Gogh's paintwork "wheatfields with crows"....and when you face this humble, picturesque church, you'll wish you could have filmed a marriage there, as crossing the little pathway to the top. And when you climb up you may feel part of Limnos heart, a huge mirror of reflections including you and the blessing of all Mariners' Patron on you as on sponge divers through time... For selva-s, Limnos island is a grave, a desert, a church and a wonder. For us is also a huge hug, a paradise of serenity, rinse out and oblivion.
