I've been told there used to be a sign along the trail indicating that this old road was the original road up Brockway Mountain before the scenic drive was built.
Parking along the road can be difficult, so a trail head has been provided. At the TH there is a parking spot and the start of the Michigan Nature Association hiking trail that leads to the cache.
