Everyone has heard some Little Johnny jokes. Here are a couple you might enjoy.
Little Johnny, instead of an apple, would daily bring his new teacher a pretzel from his uncle's bakery.
She always thanked Little Johnny, but one day she said,
“These pretzels are very good, but do you think your uncle could make them with no salt?”…
Every day afterwards the pretzel was salt-free.
After a while, the teacher felt she was making too much extra work for Little Johnny’s uncle to make them without salt special for her.
“Little Johnny, I hope your uncle is not going through too much trouble preparing the pretzels without salt.”
“Oh no,” replied Little Johnny, “He doesn’t make them without salt. I lick the salt off.”
While Little Johnny was sitting in the corner (in this case the back corner of the park), he realized that he should stick to bringing his teacher apples. It was at this point that Little Johnny Chapman became Johnny Appleseed.
The teacher wrote on the blackboard, “I aint had no fun in months.”
Then asked the class, “Now, how should I correct this sentence?”
Little Johnny raised his hand and replied…
“Let's Go Geocaching!”
And that's how the legend of Little Johnny Appleseed began - planting apple trees and inviting people, like his favorite teacher, to go geocaching with him.
