Welcome to the Michigan Karst Conversancy's Mystery Valley preserve. The Michigan Karst Conservancy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting awareness and preservation of unique karst features in Michigan.
Parking is road side near the kiosk. Please don't block the gate. The terrain has some dips in it so please watch where you step.
I'm not trying to scare you but please be aware that this is karst country. Meaning the ground beneath your feet may not be as solid as you may think. The Earth is not crumbling away beneath your feet, well not quickly. Holes or cracks do exist in the area so please watch where you are putting your feet.
Please enjoy what this area has to offer you. Remain a safe distance from any sink holes or drop offs. The edges of sink holes can give way, as they have been for some time. That's how these karst features where created. There are trail guides and a log book you can sign at the kiosk.
