The ABCs of geocaching is a series of caches exploring some of the lingo that gets used in the geocaching world.
LPC = Light Pole Cache
This can be a cache that is on a lightpole, next to a light pole or possibly under the skirt of a light pole. Yes those metal skirts lift up and sometimes you get more than you bargain for ie bees, bugs, or rubber snakes that will make you wish you didn't lift the skirt. It can sometimes be noisy to lift those up and it is hard to be stealthy messing with one.
Lock n' Lock
This is another term that comes up and has to do with the container itself. Usually there are either 2 or 4 flaps that lock the lid to the container. These frequenlty get busted off due to rough handling or weather as in they can snap off if the temperature is too cold. If you hide one of these kind of containers I would suggest having back ups for replacement purposes. If the flap comes off then the lid does not seal and then there are moisture issues which leads to a bad caching experience.
This cache is a LPC that should be an easy grab. . .no skirt lifting needed. I have permission from the buisness to have this cache on site. If I have any complaints I will have the cache archived. Only cache during normal business hours. Obviously if the fuel tanker or garbage truck is there then I would suggest circling back to make the grab.
