This geocache was inspired by my children, hence the little toys I placed inside. It's not a hard find, but you have to bring your own pencil or pen. I ride here multiple times a week and the geocache is located past an area that says no hikers are allowed, however, as long as you don't walk down the bike trails nobody will probably say a thing to you. Please be respectful, the trails past the sign are for mountain bike use only.
To get to ground zero I recommend walking up the fire road and passing the first intersection that leads to the right. At the intersection continue straight until you get to a small trailhead on the right. It's not marked but is a connector trail. Stay left on that trail (first right is a detour to the creek) and eventually you will get to a trail called Ewok Climb Trail at the bottom of some bike trails marked by posts and Do Not Enter signs. Take Ewok up and when you get to the optional switchback on the right continue up the switchback, do not go left which leads down. From there you can see ground zero if you know what you're looking for. Ewok feels like you're walking in the Olympics, it's a great little trail that I ride up to get to other trails.
