Better Call Saul is the prequel series to Breaking Bad. Like that series, it is filmed in and around Albuquerque. It tells the story how Jimmy McGill comes to be known as "Saul Goodman", the lawyer who "put 'criminal' in criminal defense lawyer".
This hide highlights another filming location for both Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad. Hector Salamanca claimed that his family purchased this estate, set in Mexico. The pool plays as the centerpiece for many cartel meetings at the Estate. It's owner Eladio Vuente "was one of the founding members of the Cartel alongside Juan Bolsa and Hector Salamanca and became the leader of the operation." Don Eladio is nicknamed "El Griego Guiñador", "The Winking Greek" for the Greek amulet he wears as a ward against the evil eye.
In real life La Hacienda de Placitas is across the road from this pull-over, park-and-grab altoids tin cache.
Enjoy!
