Campbells ledge is a geological feature that has an awesome overlook of the valley at the top. The legend tells of a man named Campbell who was being pursued by a group of local Indians and that when he was at the edge of the cliff and the Indians closing in, he jumped off, still astride his horse, rather than face an uncertain and unimaginable death at the hands of his enemies.
