Allosaurus was a large, bipedal predator with a massive skull and sharp teeth. It lived in the Late Jurassic period and was one of the most common large carnivores of its time. It was about 20 to 33 feet long and weighed 1 to 2 tons. Allosaurus had short forelimbs and long hind limbs, and it could run quickly and jump high. It was an apex predator that preyed on a variety of animals, including other dinosaurs and mammals. Allosaurus lived in groups and may have hunted together or helped each other to raise their young.
