Geocache Description:

This is a replacement geocache for the one that existed here for several years.  I decided it was time to change things up a little bit as the original geocache went missing again.  I figured it was a good time to refresh the game board. Below is the text that was written by the original owners of the geocache that preceded this one.  The letterbox is not at the posted coordinates but you will be giving some easy directions to be able to locate the letterbox.  Please note that it has come to my attention that there is another letterbox hidden here that is not from geocaching.com. please read the letter boxing directions carefully to be sure that you're finding the correct container.

---------------------------------------------

The following was from geo's loulog who had a geocache here previously.

One-room schools were commonplace throughout rural portions of the United States in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In most rural (country) and small town schools, all of the students met in a single room. There, a single teacher taught academic basics to several grade levels of elementary-age boys and girls. While in many areas one-room schools are no longer used, it is not uncommon for them to remain in developing nations and rural areas, such as much of the Falklands and Shetland. I remember (pretty clearly) attending a one room school house much like this one for my kindegarten and 1st grade classes. We had one teacher for both grades. We had individual desks and also had paper much unlike the Waltons who used slates. Looks like there has been some work performed on this school over the past 2 years. Enjoy!

---------------------------------------------

To find the letter box walk in a southerly direction around the back of the schoolhouse until you reach the edge of the grass line at the southern end of the property. At this point head east and follow the grass line until you see a a little clearing.  You should see a fairly large living tree and then at its base one that looks like had fallen over but has been cut off.  It is here that you will find what you seek. Please note that it has come to my attention that there is another letterbox hidden here that is not from geocaching.com. To make sure you're finding the correct container my letterbox is a black colored container clearly labeled. Please do not remove the stamp that is contained in a small pill bottle. That is to remain a part of the letterbox. This also happens to be a stop for the Schoolhouse Adventure Lab
