In the spring of 2023, in the woods of Old Bridge, over 400 pounds of pasta mysteriously showed up in the woods near Iresick Brook. For several days an investigation (and clean up) took place. Police, the Board of Health, the EPA, food scientist and a local chef were called in to help strain through the evidence and find pasta-trator. After several leads and calls to the police about another incident, a nosy neighbor led the authorities to the culprit.
As a loyal pastafaria I had to make a mecca to the location, below is an inventory of what was found along the banks of Iresick Brook
On the North side of the creek I saw:
Ditalini, Small Shells, Vermicelli, Spaghetti, Spaghnettoni
On the West side of the creek I spotted:
Large Elbows, Large Shells, Spaghetti, Macaroni Pastitsio, Capellini
If you seem to get redundent numbers or can't resolve the coordinates, I meet the food scientist from Rutgers there, and she provided me with some potentially valuable details about the pasta. A food DNA analysis of The Ditalini, Small Shells, Large Elbows and Large Shells indicate their origin is from Harrisburg, PA. The Vermicelli, Spaghetti, Spaghnettoni and Capellini were all from Parma, Italy. The Macaroni Pastitsio is from Athens, Greece.
