The 23rd in an occasional series of morning get-togethers, which aim to be within a few miles of the River Erewash, the border between Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. All geocachers are welcome, for an hour of chat, the sharing of ideas, the exchange of trackables, and anything to do with our hobby.
Only a couple of days after this year's Mega at Milton Keynes finishes, but not everyone gets the chance to attend that, and it was either now or not at all in August!
It's been a year since we have been to this venue. It remains one of my favourites, and I am sure that the drivers who attend will have missed the opportunity to practice their slalom techniques, avoiding the potholes on the drive down Aldercar Lane. Other than the potholes, this has always proved a very popular venue; for those who do want to do so, there is a full breakfast menu available (though there is, of course, no obligation to buy anything).
The event location is Maggie's Den, on Aldercar Lane at Aldercar (postcode NG16 4HJ). Please log a Will Attend if you are coming.
Please note the co-ordinates for the entrance to the car park - some people drive right past it! Once at the car park, the cafe is the very evident modern building. If you are driving here, then please BE CAREFUL of the POTHOLES.
