This cache is placed on the Grafton Way footpath, only a short distance away from the site of where once stood Moore End castle, which is where the current name, Moor End, is derived. Built in the 14th century, and regularly visited by Edward III, sadly little evidence remains of what is now a cattle grazing meadow.
The location of the castle was the other side of the road, but due to cache placement rules, this was the nearest available GZ .

This 'series' is designed for caching beginners by providing extra helpful hints.
Those more experienced cachers should therefore avoid looking at the hints!
[Also, for a short period, there will be a second log sheet to allow local children's clubs including Guides, Scouts etc. to be introduced to Geocaching by an adult leader. This 2nd log will be clearly labeled as temporary, allowing the children to experience geocaching properly by signing a log.]
