Find Spike the Swamp Fox (Revised)
When I first placed this cache, I attached it to a plastic toy (Spike the Swamp Fox) but then I had second thoughts about leaving something that looked so artificial in this natural environment. The cache is still in its original location but I have removed the Spike toy. This will make it a bit more difficult to find but it’s in keeping with my philosophy of making my geocaches blend in with their surroundings.
Spike may reappear as a Trackable but he remains at this cache site in spirit only.
The cache container is a 2 inch pillbox/bison tube. It’s hanging in plain sight...which is not to say it will be easy to find. The area around this cache is usually swampy.
Please take note of the position of the cache container before retrieving it and be sure to return the container to it's original hiding location in order to maintain the intended level of concealment. Also, I would appreciate feedback on the condition of my containers. Each one is an experiment to make them more durable, watertight and inconspicuous. Thank you!
