刀剣博物館の近くにキャッシュを設置しました。
日本刀を保存・公開し、 日本刀文化の普及のため、日本美術刀剣保存協会の付属施設として昭和43年に開館した博物館で、平成29年に現在の地に移転しました。
日本刀は古来武器という性質以外に、信仰の対象や権威の象徴としての側面をもち、また美術品として鑑賞の対象にもなっていました。
日本人の豊かな感性により武器が美術工芸品にまで昇華されたといわれる文化財で、千年を越えて大切に保存され、歴史的・文化的にもその果たした役割が大きいと言えます。
