Skarfaklettur is a big rock surrounded by a beach. Near the beach is a caravan with sauna in it so the beach is a good location for sea swimming so watch out for the muggles.
The view from Skarfaklettur is beautiful. You can see a big mountain, Mt. Esja, behind Viðey that is an island few hundred meters away from the cache. On the island is a big light named Friðarsúlan and that is in memory of John Lennon but Yoko Ono placed the light there. You can see the light, it seems to be a white box but it is actually a circle but it appears as a box from this perspective. The light turns on on the 9th of October which is his birthday and it turns off on the day he got murdered, the 8th of December. If you are lucky you can see Snæfellsjökull which is a glacier and a volcano 120 kilometers away from the cache. You need to look to the north-west over the sea to see the glacier but it is only possible when the visibility is good.
In the cache are a few coins, a small teddy bear and a rose made out of steel or something else that is similar. You can trade these things of course.
